I went to a large craft store lately. Every time I go there, they give me a 20% off discount coupon that is good for one week only. You cannot use the coupon on the same day either. I do not see this type of discount coupon programs too often, but it takes me back to the store, even if I do not have any specific I need. It is almost the holiday season, I can always find something from the craft store that I might need in the near future. The 20% off gives me an extra incentive to go back.

If you shop online, you might notice more and more websites offer shipping discount. For instance, if you buy $25 or more, shipping is free. The other way is the same shipping charge for up to $25 purchase. It means that if you buy $1 or $25, you pay the same amount of shipping. This gives your customers incentive to buy more from you.

These are a couple ideas many companies are using right now. Hope you can learn from them and make them useful for your business.
