Do you Have a Daily Special For Your Customers?
It happens to me a lot, probably you experience the same thing as well. When the time comes to decide where you want to go for lunch or dinner, you and your friends (or husband/wife, whoever) would go back and forth to try to decide where to go. Once you arrive at the restaurant, then you will go back and forth to decide what to eat.
Many restaurants have daily specials that help them to promote certain items on their menu. It also indirectly help their customers to make up their mind of what they should get.
Restaurant menu usually put their most popular or their highest profit items as a special, or at the top of their menu. This will get people to order more profitable items.
Daily specials are usually a combination of food item and drinks, which increase the average sales check as well. Why you see “daily special” in many different restaurants? Because it works in term of helping them increase sales.
Can you work this idea to your business? Think about what you can put together as a package for your customers, and help them to make up their mind while you make a higher sale. This is a win-win for both you and your customers.
