Are You Using Email Marketing For Your Business?
Email marketing is become more and more popular. Not only online businesses are using email marketing, offline small businesses are using it as well.
I went to a pharmacy a couple of days ago, they asked me if I want to give them my email address so they can send me coupons when I check out at the cash register. I did.
Many people might worry about getting spam and they don’t want to give you their email addresses, but if you give them some benefits, they might give you their email addresses.
Do you sign up with any newsletters that you look forward to receive? Think about the type of newsletter that you look forward to receive– why do you want to receive them? Are they informative?
I signed up with many companies’ email lists, including some restaurants and local stores, so I can receive coupons from them. They don’t send me email too often, so I don’t feel that I am getting spam. Also, I sign up for some other online newsletter. Some of them only send out newsletter once a month, but they are so informative that I look forward to read them. Of course they do some promotions in their newsletter, but I feel that those promotion are targeted and beneficial to me.
Does email marketing work? Of course. If not, companies would not use email marketing so aggressively. I used to work for a company that send out monthly newsletter. Every time they send out a newsletter, sales go up right after.
In the later post, I will share some ideas of what to write in the newsletter that help you build loyal customer base.
